Modest Studio is an independent production company creating visually distinctive, human-centered stories rooted in memory, identity, and social change. Our current production, A Place We Made, traces more than three decades of LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS history in Ventura County through the people who lived it and the communities they built, exploring how discrimination, activism, caregiving, civil rights, political change, and community building transformed isolation into action and created a more livable future.
